PEACHTREE ESTATE SALES is taking a walk down memory lane — at Steak & Ale on Virginia Ave! Join us!

s and aIf you’ve lived in Atlanta for any length of time (I’m an Atlanta native here remember) you’ve surely dined at one of the many Steak & Ale’s in our area.  It was sad when they closed years ago.

This is your chance to see inside ‘one more time’ and perhaps buy a bit of Atlanta history.  JOIN US!

Steak & Ale – by the airport

1477 Virginia Ave,

College Park Ga 30337

March 5, 6, 7

9-3pm – Thurs March 5

9-3pm – Friday March 6

9-4pm – Saturday March 7

Before we go any further, let me explain to you what’s actually going to take place here.  The old Steak & Ale will be converted into (super excited here) a MELLOW MUSHROOM! :::turning cartwheels:::::: that’s right!  Are we excited or what? (yes…..yes we are!). Because the entire building is being reconfigured and much can’t be used structurally for the new restaurant, think ‘repurposing’ of what you’ll be able to buy.

How to shop this sale:

  • Lighting, beams, structural pieces, i.e. doors, stained glass windows, (all can be purchased but have to wait a week to remove – the new owners will let you know when exactly by the time the sale gets here)
  • Restaurant equipment
  • Art (original to Steak & Ale) – many are limited edition prints (you can identify these by the 2nd signed signature – always look for this on prints –)
  • Glasses, dishes, serving, etc
  • Signage within Steak & Ale (remember each room had a ‘theme’ – i.e. the Nautical Room had a sailboat which was of course my very favorite room , etc)
  • The stained glass windows are appraised upward of $500.
  • PLANTS — think shrubs, bushes, trees etc.  Dig those puppies up and give them a new home!
  • In addition to items pertaining to Steak & Ale, the new owners previously imported incredible Italian pottery, etc. Those too will be for sale (are you lucky or what!)

All Cash or Visa/Debit (add 3% on plastic). Sales tax included in the price of the item.

We are honored to be hosting this sale and giving you the chance to buy a little piece of history for many who have lived in Atlanta.  I loved the tudor theme of the buildings, the dark cozy cave-like rooms — each named and with a theme.  The fireplaces tucked into nooks made to feel as if you were stopping into a roadside pub in a small town in the English countryside (I was young remember– plus I have a great imagination — it worked for me — don’t judge LOL)

Come and see the building, buy something to use or repurpose —  we’re looking forward to seeing everyone.

*For more info on the history of Steak and Ale click >>HERE<<

If you go onto Peachtree Estate Sales Facebook page, we would LOVE to hear your memories of Steak & Ale under the listing for this sale.   Looking forward to seeing you and hearing your stories!

Crystal – adding to your entertaining pieces at Estate Sales

I love dishes. PERIOD.  I also love entertaining which involves mixing and matching place settings and crystal.  Perfect is boring in my world.  An eclectic presentation adds interest and allows you to show different pieces in a new way.  Dare to be different.

Estate Sales are a great way to find a piece here and there, and if you’re shined upon by the ‘Estate Sale Goddess’ perhaps you’ll find an entire grouping of 6 or more.  In fact there’s a very good chance of finding groups of glasses, plates, decanters — oh you’ll just never know what exactly you’ll find.  Which is all the fun!
